Benefit Roller Lash Mascara

So I cannot tell you how obsessed I am with Roller Lash by Benefit. I have been using this product for a few months now and am still a huge fan! When I first heard of the mascara during the initial promotion I thought surely this cannot rival They're Real mascara by Benefit. But sure enough it is a definite contender. It is 'Inspired by curling hair, the hook ‘n’ roll brush creates lashes beyond belief – seeing really is believing'.

Packaging

Let's start with the first impressions of the packaging! I love the whole look of the mascara especially the pink lid! It gives it a very vintage feel and I love this sweet romantic look for a mascara. Very cute! 

Wand

Roller Lash is all about the curl power! With They're Real it was more of achieving a set of fake lashes without the falsies and getting the volume factor. This will help when deciding on what sort of mascara you are after! So for curls = Roller Lash and volume straighter lashes = They're Real!

The wand on the Roller Lash is designed to give you that perfect lift and curl to reach all your individual lashes! The brush feels so more gentler on my lashes than They're Real which I found pulled on my lashes slightly. This is because the wand on They're Real is designed to grab each of your lashes from the root to add maximum volume and reach all individual lashes.(even the tiny ones :-) )

Price Tag

This mascara is the same price as They're Real at £19.50 so a typical price tag for Benefit. This is obviously more expensive than drugstore mascara but I do think once in a while you should treat yourself! :-)

Formula

The mascara is supposed to hold your curl for 12 hours. From testing this product I can say it safely lasts the day but if you want to take this into the night and have more staying power then I would recommend the They're Real mascara.

It contains Provitamin B5 and Serin, ingredients known for their lash-conditioning benefits and is Water-resistant, Ink black and a Satin finish.

Verdict

Overall I am a massive fan of this mascara it stays put all day and doesn't smudge. the perfect black mascara that curls my lashes and gives them a little added lift. I love the packaging and the formula. It provides me with that wide awake look which is definitely what I need early in the morning! Removal is quick and simple as it is quite a light formula and most makeup removers work perfectly with this. 

I must say if I had to pick I would personally choose They're Real mascara! Not because I don't love Roller Lash too but I personally like the falsies look and more volume for my lashes rather than curl. Still saying that they both will live happily side by side in my makeup bag.
