NYX Lip Gloss | Butter Gloss & Soft Matte Lip Cream Review

Hi Lovelies!

I am over the moon that NYX have launched their successful brand here in the UK. Previously we could only grab our hands on this online via beauty sites such as ASOS,Feel Unique, etc but no stores stocked the brand so when I found out Boots would be launching this in store I was straight on the site praying that my local Boots would be one of the lucky ones!

I am happy to say I was successful in my findings and I headed down (OK ran down) as soon as I knew it had arrived in store. I was like a kid at Christmas and was so excited to see all the products in person with my own eyes and got carried away swatching all the glosses and shadows I had been itching to try.

To me the glosses were the main reason for my shopping spree and I wanted to drop them all in my basket until I realised that would be very unfair on my purse. In the end I picked up a few bits from their range of products but for today's blog review post I wanted to concentrate on the lip glosses I chose. I picked up 2 of their Butter glosses and 3 of their Soft Matte Lip Creams.

These Butter glosses are £5.00 each and the Soft Matte Lip Creams are £5.50.  I just want to have them all for my collection!

Butter Glosses

I adore the packaging and the names of these glosses are just so divine and based on desserts. Let me tell you they smell good enough that you would want to eat them! They smell like vanilla cupcakes which are simply delicious! They live up to their name and are so buttery and smooth to apply. Not sticky at all which is a must for me when it comes to lip gloss. (No hair stuck to your lips when the wind blows!) They build from a sheer to medium coverage and look great teamed up with your fave lipsticks too to give an unique shade.

Left Creme Brulee | Right Eclair

The staying power of these are amazing and no need to reapply for a few hours with is outstanding for the price. I was so undecided and spent ages picking the shades I wanted to try first. I ended up buying Creme Brulee and Eclair.

Creme Brulee is a perfect everyday nude gloss. Great to apply for a perfect effortless look. This is a cult favourite from the range as it goes with so many skin tones.

Eclair is a cool pink tone. I do love a pink gloss and again this is perfect for everyday use. Adds a nice sheen to natural lips or great over your fave lipstick.

You can buy the Butter Glosses from your local Boots in person or online here.

Soft Matte Lip Creams

These creams have a beautiful formula that applies creamy and dries matte. Even though they are a matte cream they are supper hydrating on the lips and do not leave my lips flaky or dry. Again these are creams that have an amazing staying power and can stay on for a few hours. The scent stays on the cake mix idea which are so delicious and good enough to eat. I love the range of shades available for both sets and cannot wait to build up my collection.

The three I have initially picked up is Milan, San Paulo and Cannes. I love the destination names and love the thought NYX put into their branding and names of products. For £5.50 in order to achieve the perfect matte lip these are definitely worth adding to your collection.

Left Milan | Middle San Paulo | Right Cannes

As you can see form the swatches the creams are so pigmented and creamy. Such beautiful shades and there are so many more to pick up.

Milan is a mid tone mauve pink. I love this shade of pink and it look stunning on so many skin tones.

San Paulo is a pink to red shade and perfect for Summer time. A gorgeous bright shade to make a statement.

Cannes is a deep mauve nude tone which I love.

You can pick up the Soft Matte Lip Creams from Boots in person or here

I will definitely be adding more to my collection. Which shades are your fave? What ones do you have?
