Friction Free Shaving

I kept seeing Friction Free Shaving all over my Instagram, so I was intrigued to find out what all the hype was about. I am a regular shaver so I wanted to try a new razor that gives the closest possible shave and the least irritation. Over the years I have noticed my skin has become far more sensitive and I really suffer from shaving rashes and little red bumps, especially in the summer months. After checking through their products I was so excited to give them a go and after reading other blog reviews I knew this was a company I wanted to test for myself.

Friction Free Shaving is a subscription service that delivers direct to your door and offers a range of products including replacement blades, a razor, shaving cream, balm and scrub. The beauty of this subscription service is that you can switch out products, pause your subscription or change the frequency to how often you require these. I absolutely love the flexibility of this plan. They also have a cruelty free promise and a say no to pink tax approach which is such an important message for a company to stand for and represent.

The razor itself is a beautiful rose gold metal and has a reusable handle. I decided to add the engraving option of my name onto the handle. This is £6 currently, but I found a code online that allowed this to be free along with a clam shell blade protector for your razor. They always seem to have amazing offers and discounts so just check out their Insta or look online. The blades are 6 diamond coated blades and give a beautiful close shave. The refills are delivered every month or every 2 months depending on what you decide. This is for 4 blades for £9. You then decide to add the scrub, cream and balm to your monthly subscription or just make one off purchases for these. This is following their smooth, remove and soothe shave system.

The scrub is to exfoliate your skin before shaving and this helps to remove any dead skin cells and provide a smoother surface to shave on. It is a walnut scrub and is so gentle on the skin unlike other scrubs which can be quite rough especially for sensitive skin. This scrub also helps to release ingrown hairs, reduce shaving spots, unblock pores and lift dead skin cells for smoother, clearer skin. The cream is insanely moisturising and contains Manuka honey, Shea butter and coconut oil. The smell is divine and as it is a clear consistency, the purpose is to give complete transparency to give a close shave as possible. The shaving balm is for application after you have shaved and it helps cool, refresh and moisturise. This aids in restoring your skin’s natural moisture balance and reducing any irritation. It is blended with Manuka honey for its anti-inflammatory, repairing and moisturising qualities and cocoa butter which is high in antioxidants, it provides deep hydration to soothe and condition your skin.

All in all I picked up the razor, clam shell blade protector, scrub, cream and balm for £27 and going forward I will be paying £9 every two months for replacement blades. I love how easy the service is and the fact it is delivered through the door. I have really noticed a difference in the condition of my skin and am happy with the price tag. If you want to try them or sign up to this subscription service then just click here to get started.  Have you tried Friction free Shaving (FFS)? How do you deal with shaving rashes or bumps?
